Peshawar, Pakistan – In a significant development, the Peshawar High Court has directed the release of funds for the victims of the Tora Bora operation, while hearing a petition related to the matter. The bench, comprising Justice Waqar Ahmed and Justice Muhammad Fehim Wali, heard the petition.
During the hearing, the petitioner’s lawyer questioned the government whether it had granted permission for the operation. In response, the Additional Attorney General stated that the federal government had not given permission for the operation, and the provincial government had also not granted any such permission.
The Peshawar High Court ordered the release of funds for the victims, directing the provision of assistance to those affected. The court also asked for a report on the provision of aid to the victims within seven days. The court further ordered the attendance of advisors and secretaries of the Relief Department of the Tora Bora region at the next hearing.
Following the development, the Pakistan Army’s ISPR stated that the sponsored terrorists behind the “Fitna-e-Hindustan” have attempted to disrupt peace in Balochistan. Interior Minister Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Kalabagh accused India of orchestrating the recent attacks, stating that they will be defeated once again.
Meanwhile, the Karachi Mayor, Murtaza Wahab, was questioned by citizens about the poor condition of the city’s roads. The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Luddan stated that 29 people were injured in the incident.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) lawyers have requested a written record of the medical examination of the party’s chairperson from the Adiala Jail authorities. The operation’s aftermath has seen a rapid recovery of both patients and donors.
The injured in the Drassmand incident have been transferred to a hospital. The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sahibzada Sibghatullah Shahid, stated that the big powers have tied our hands with a piece of rag, which will soon be torn to shreds.
In another development, the Federal Interior Minister, Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Kalabagh, visited the Corps Commander Quetta to review the situation following the recent terrorist incidents in Balochistan. The registration of kite sellers and door-to-door vendors will remain open until February 8.
