The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a revised schedule for two PSL X matches originally slated to take place at the Multan Cricket Stadium, the board stated in a release on Sunday.
The afternoon game on May 1 (Thursday) between Multan Sultans and Karachi Kings, initially scheduled at the Multan Cricket Stadium, will now be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the first ball to be bowled at 3 pm.
This change means that Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will now host a double-header on May 1, which is also a public holiday (Labour Day).
In the evening, the Gaddafi Stadium will host the Lahore Qalandars versus Quetta Gladiators match as per the original schedule, commencing at 8 pm.
Furthermore, the final match of the Multan leg, initially scheduled for the afternoon of May 10 between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, will now take place on the evening of May 11, with the first ball to be bowled at 8 pm at the Multan Cricket Stadium.
This decision was made after extensive discussions with all stakeholders and considering the operational ease and recent heat waves experienced in certain parts of the country.
The PCB stated that tickets purchased online for the May 1 encounter previously scheduled in Multan will be automatically refunded to the accounts used at the time of booking.
“Tickets purchased from express centers will need to be physically refunded to the fans from TCS outlets. We regret any inconvenience caused to fans in this regard,” the board added.
Spectators can now enjoy the double-header in Lahore using the same ticket they previously purchased for the evening match.
Additionally, fans who have already purchased tickets for the May 10 fixture will be able to use them for the rescheduled match on the following day (May 11).
