Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi halted on Thursday the deduction of players’ match fees in the upcoming National T20 Cup, scheduled to begin on Friday.
According to details, the PCB spokesperson stated that the PCB chairman had stopped the reduction of match fees for players in the upcoming domestic competition.
“The PCB chairman issued instructions to Director Domestic Cricket Abdullah Khurram Niazi in this regard,” said the PCB spokesperson.
The spokesperson added, “Instructions have been issued to immediately review the reduction of players’ fees in the domestic T20 tournament.”
It is worth noting that reports indicated players would receive reduced match fees, sparking controversy, but now the PCB chief has become a voice for domestic cricketers.
The National T20 Cup is scheduled to begin on March 14 (Friday), featuring 18 teams from 16 regions.
