The country’s exports of sports goods reached a 32-month high in July, driven by a sharp increase in shipments of footballs and sports gloves. According to official documents, the total value of sports goods exported during July was $38.9 million, marking the highest level since October 2022.
The data indicates a 32.50 per cent rise in the exports of sports items compared to previous months. The last significant growth in this sector was noted in October 2022, when exports surged by 35.52 per cent. In contrast, the same category had experienced a 22.86 per cent decline in April of this year.
Exports of footballs saw a 44.70 per cent increase in July, reaching a value of $25.72 million. The exports of players’ gloves also recorded a rise of 9.18 per cent, with the total value for the month amounting to $5.029 million.
