Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) senior leader Asad Qaiser has accused government ministers of lying about the health of PTI’s founder Imran Khan. During a press conference in Swabi, Asad Qaiser said that false information about Imran Khan’s health had been circulating, with ministers repeatedly lying about his condition.
“The PTI leader has not met with a provincial chief minister today,” he said. “What difference does it make if he had met with one? It’s not as if meeting with one would have made a difference.” Asad Qaiser added that the people of Swabi were expected to come out in large numbers tomorrow, and that it was up to them to decide whether to choose their representatives or have them selected through the electoral process.
“If the people’s right to vote is taken away, what’s the point of democracy and parliament?” he asked. “Our struggle is for people’s rights, the constitution, and the supremacy of the law. Show us one law that has been passed in favor of the people.”
