Pakistan’s largest volunteer network, ‘MilKar,’ has won the Youth Excellence Award at the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Summit 2025, held in Islamabad.
This achievement is not new for MilKar, a public welfare organization recognized for its contributions, particularly in connecting volunteers and organizations to create a better society.
Previously, MilKar has won several national and international awards, including the Commonwealth Innovation Award and P@SHA’s “Best Community Service” Gold Award.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented the award to Ali Saif, the youngest member of the National Youth Council (NYC) and the Impact Head of MilKar, as well as the founder of ‘Climate Dost.’
Ali Saif, recognized as the youngest environmental champion, emphasized that the youth must take the lead in combating climate change.
Speaking to Geo News, he pointed out that Pakistan is a country of youth, with 70% of its population being young. He highlighted that young people had planted over 100,000 trees and distributed 100,000 masks during the smog crisis.
Saif mentioned that he himself is an eco-friendly youth, and recently, the organization installed a large number of bird feeders. He urged everyone to adopt an eco-friendly lifestyle.
He further revealed that MilKar plans to install bird feeders across the country by 2030.
