Pakistan has announced it will deliver an immediate and forceful response to India’s recent actions, according to Defence Minister Khawaja Asif.
Speaking to the media, Asif said the National Security Committee (NSC) has authorized the Pakistan Army to take a strong retaliatory action. “The military has been given full authority to respond effectively. The Indian action last night will not go unanswered,” he stated.
Asif condemned India for targeting civilian areas, stressing there were no military bases, training camps, or terrorist hideouts in the locations struck. “India deliberately targeted civilians—martyrs include innocent people. These were purely civilian zones,” he added.
He also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “Modi has run out of options. India might attempt another act of aggression—anything can happen at any time. In response, we have targeted their military assets, including Indian aircraft.”
Earlier, the National Security Committee reaffirmed Pakistan’s right to respond to any violation of its sovereignty, “at a time, place, and manner of its choosing.” The committee confirmed that the armed forces have been fully empowered to act accordingly.
The NSC also urged the international community to take serious notice of India’s unlawful actions and hold it accountable for violating international laws.
