Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, addressing the Senate on Monday, reaffirmed Pakistan’s robust defense readiness and nuclear capabilities amidst escalating regional tensions. He categorically stated that any aggressive act against Pakistan would be met with an immediate and decisive response. “Anyone who casts an ill eye upon Pakistan will have that eye gouged out. The Pakistani nation stands united, and a brick thrown at us will be answered with a stone. We remain on high alert,” Dar asserted.
He underscored that Pakistan’s nuclear program is an invaluable national asset and a sacred trust for future generations, emphasizing the entire nation’s unwavering commitment to its safeguarding. “Allah Almighty has blessed Pakistan with nuclear and missile power, which serves not only our defense but also contributes to regional stability,” he added.
Dar strongly condemned the recent assaults on Iranian nuclear facilities, labeling them as “criminal acts” that must be averted to preserve regional peace. Referring to India, he claimed that India’s aggressive ambitions had been thwarted, stating, “India came to its senses after facing consequences and reached out to the United States for a ceasefire.”
Furthermore, he vehemently rejected circulating rumors of Pakistan threatening nuclear action against Israel, dismissing them as “fake news.” Dar pointed out that erroneous reports were even published in British media and highlighted a resurfaced 2011 interview of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu as part of a surge of misinformation since June 13. “War is not a jest or a childish game — it is a grave matter,” he stressed. “We must exercise caution regarding misleading narratives and continue to rectify the record concerning fake news.”
Regarding diplomatic engagement, Dar mentioned that the foreign ministers of Iran and Oman maintained close contact with him throughout recent developments, with the Iranian foreign minister sustaining ongoing communication during negotiations. He concluded by noting Pakistan’s constructive role in the recent UN Security Council session, for which Iran expressed its appreciation.
On Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs unequivocally rejected reports in Israeli media alleging that Pakistan had threatened Israel with a nuclear strike, labeling them as “baseless and fabricated.” According to official details, a spokesperson for the MoFA stated that there is no truth whatsoever to the reports being broadcast by Israeli outlets. “These claims are entirely unfounded. The Israeli media is spreading misinformation and presenting false narratives about Pakistan,” the spokesperson clarified. The ministry emphasized that Pakistan is a responsible nuclear state and a significant regional power. “Such fake news is not only misleading but also aimed at creating unnecessary tensions,” the spokesperson added. These reports notably emerged following Iran’s retaliatory strikes on Israel in response to Israeli aggression against Tehran. Iran reportedly launched ballistic and hypersonic missiles targeting several Israeli cities, including Tel Aviv and Occupied Jerusalem. As a result, reports indicate over 20 Zionists were killed and dozens more injured, with several buildings destroyed and significant damage inflicted on infrastructure.
