Multan: Pakistan’s blind cricket team made history by winning the 2024 T20 World Cup, defeating Bangladesh by 10 wickets. Bangladesh posted a modest total of 139 for seven after batting first. Pakistan’s bowler Babar Ali took three wickets, while Motiullah and Mohammad Salman claimed one wicket each.
Pakistan chased down the target of 140 in just 11 overs, with openers Nisar Ali (72) and Mohammad Safdar (47) remaining unbeaten. This victory marks the first time Pakistan has won the Blind T20 World Cup, breaking India’s streak of victories in the previous editions.
