Pakistan’s Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, inaugurated the new consulate building of Pakistan in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The ceremony was attended by Saudi dignitaries, Pakistani ambassadors, and notable Pakistani personalities.
According to a statement issued by the Foreign Office spokesperson, the ceremony began with the hoisting of the Pakistani flag, followed by tree planting and unveiling of a plaque. In his address, Vice Prime Minister Dar praised the efforts of the Pakistani consulate in Jeddah and the cooperation of the Saudi authorities, which enabled the project to reach its completion.
Dar emphasized that the government of Pakistan is committed to providing effective consular services to Pakistanis living abroad. He also announced plans to lay the foundation stone of several development projects in the Old City area.
Meanwhile, a new track on the road from Peoples’ Chourangi to the Mazar-e-Quaid and another track from Khudadad Colony are closed due to ongoing development work.
Pakistan has reiterated its need for continuous support to maintain stability and security in Somalia. Chairman PTI, Barrister Gohar, stated that today marked the last day of Chief Minister KP Sahibzada Saeed’s visit to Sindh.
The spokesperson of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) revealed that $160,000 were recovered from a detained suspect. Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz congratulated the Pakistan Navy on successfully conducting a missile test. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the Minister of Health, Secretary of Health, and the PMDC administration to take immediate action to provide medical aid to the injured.
A spokesperson for the Rangers stated that a large amount of merchandise worth millions of rupees was confiscated during a joint operation with the Customs Enforcement. Pakistan strongly condemned Israel’s actions in Somalia, said Vice Prime Minister Dar, adding that he was forced to take a detour on his return from Hyderabad to Karachi.
A rescue source revealed that five people lost their lives in an accident, and several others were injured. According to the police, over 30 workers were taken into custody, and one police officer was injured in the clash.
