Pakistani security forces conducted a successful operation in the district of Panjgur in Balochistan, resulting in the death of three Indian-backed terrorists in a fierce exchange of gunfire. According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence reports suggesting the presence of Indian proxy terrorists in the area.
The security forces effectively targeted the hideouts of the terrorists, killing the notorious terrorist commander Farooq, alias Suro, along with terrorists Adeel and Waseem. Additionally, the security forces confiscated arms, ammunition, and explosive materials from the possession of the deceased terrorists, who were involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
ISPR stated that the operation was part of the ongoing efforts to eliminate foreign-backed terrorism in the country and that the security forces would continue to take action against any potential terrorist threats in the area.
Meanwhile, a copy of the FIR (First Information Report) related to the incident at the Glades Plaza in Karachi has been obtained by Geo News. The FIR was registered on January 23. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Suhail Anwar Khan said that the people were suffering from the decision of the closure of shops. An alliance of opposition parties, Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan, has decided to hold a sit-in on February 8 and consultations have been made for the protest.
Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Pakistan chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai said that they will not withdraw the call for the protest on February 8. The Punjab Wildlife Department has seized 57 illegally kept tigers and arrested eight individuals within a day.
