Addressing a gathering in Peshawar, Emile Jameel Khan emphasized the need for the government to re-examine the privatization process and make it more transparent, as the current system is not conducive to the country’s development.
He also highlighted the importance of the government focusing on its core responsibilities, rather than indulging in business ventures that are not aligned with its mandate. The privatization process, he added, is not a panacea for all the country’s problems, and the government should not be seen as a business entity. Furthermore, Emile Jameel Khan emphasized that privatization should bring in revenue for the country, and it should be done in a transparent manner.
The ANP leader also criticized the government’s handling of the security situation in the country, stating that the government has failed to provide security to its leaders and their families. He pointed out that the party has been targeted by the government, but it has not been able to silence it.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Interior in Sindh, Atta Tarar, has stated that he has spoken to the Chief Justice regarding the case of Rizwan Bhatti, who was subjected to torture. The founder of the PTI and his wife, Bushra Bibi, have also called on the government to declare the Toshakhana case verdict null and void.
