The leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar, has emphasized the need for a dialogue with the government to address the country’s current political and economic crises. In an interview, Khokhar stated that the opposition is open to negotiations with the government, provided that the conversation centers around the supremacy of Parliament and the rule of law.
The opposition leader has expressed his willingness to engage in a constructive dialogue with the government, as proposed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Khokhar has emphasized the importance of maintaining the openness of democracy and has hinted that a consensus can be reached on key issues affecting the country.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted a possible increase in cold temperatures in the city from Tuesday to Wednesday, as a result of a western wind system. The department has warned that the cold weather may intensify after the western winds subside.
Separately, Pakistan’s Ministry of Climate Change has revealed that two dolphins were found dead on the western coast of the port city of Gwadar, sparking concerns about the impact of environmental factors on marine life. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rana Tahir has stated that the incident is being investigated as a possible case of dolphin harassment.
Additionally, the Pakistani government has announced that it will establish a high-level committee, led by Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, to facilitate dialogue between the government and the opposition parties. The committee will comprise representatives from all major opposition parties, including the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), to ensure a fair and inclusive process.
On a separate note, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has launched a protest in front of the British High Commission in London, demanding justice for a Pakistani citizen who was allegedly tortured by British authorities.
In a related development, the Israeli government has announced that it has officially recognized Somalia as an independent and sovereign state.
