The stranded Pakistanis in Syria will be flown back to Pakistan between December 12 and 13, as informed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. Following the insurgency that ousted President Bashar al-Assad, around 350 Pakistanis, including 245 pilgrims, were caught in Syria. The Pakistani government coordinated with Lebanon to facilitate their safe return. The Prime Minister also tasked Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal to ensure a warm welcome for the returning citizens.
