In a series of significant operations, the Pakistan Customs Enforcement Agency has seized goods worth over $1.38 billion, including narcotics, smuggled items, and vehicles, in accordance with the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) announced that the operations were carried out in Quetta and Islamabad, resulting in the seizure of goods worth $1.38 billion.
According to the FBR’s statement, the seized goods include 22.14 kilograms of narcotics, cigarettes, and Indian medicines. The statement also revealed that the seized goods include auto parts, a valuable car, and three trucks. Additionally, three containers carrying goods from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were stopped at the Ziyoar Border Crossing.
In another operation, the Customs Enforcement Agency in Quetta seized a car carrying narcotics, with the contraband concealed inside a spare wheel. The international market value of the seized narcotics is estimated to be $1.23 billion. The FBR has assured that the seized goods and vehicles will be processed in accordance with the law.
Meanwhile, a fake Indian diplomat was arrested in Islamabad, who was later identified as an Afghan national. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the Indian government will never forget the lesson it has been taught in the “war of truth.”
