Pakistan unleashed less than a tenth of its cyber warfare capabilities in its retaliatory attack, yet the impact sent shockwaves through India, a nation that prides itself as a global IT hub, according to a senior defence source. Pakistan’s counter-attack caught India off guard on multiple fronts, with the most devastating impact being in the invisible realm of cyberspace.
“While the world witnessed Pakistan commencing its operation on Saturday morning with a precise strike package, including Fateh-1 and Fateh-2 rockets, along with Babur cruise missiles, successfully hitting multiple targets deep within India, including their prized S-400 radar system, a digital hell broke loose in the unseen cyber domain,” the source stated.
Security sources revealed that the damage inflicted by Pakistan’s cyberattack included the disabling of 10 SCADA arrays, the wiping of 1,744 servers, the shutdown of 13 government websites, the collapse of Railways’ systems, and the throttling of power grids, even forcing Mumbai to rely on emergency backup power.
“Pakistan executed a deeper strategy involving GPS spoofing, signal jamming, satellite blinding, database hacking, and narrative warfare,” the source explained, adding that these actions led to market instability and the freezing of critical infrastructure.
“This is not a conventional retaliation. This is fifth-generation warfare — where Pakistan is not merely responding but fundamentally redefining the rules of engagement,” the source asserted, emphasizing, “In this new form of conflict, there are no tanks, no treaties, only firmware, fiber optics, frequency manipulation, and fear.”
The operation also highlighted Pakistan’s use of its own unarmed Fatah-1 and Fatah-2 drones flying over New Delhi, Gujarat, and other significant cities for psychological operations. Additionally, Kamikaze killer drones were integrated with other payloads, and Pakistan employed its electronic warfare equipment to jam enemy satellite links and blind their response capabilities.
Through precise intelligence gathering, Indian special terrorist camps responsible for planning and executing improvised explosive device (IED) activities within Pakistan were identified and targeted, effectively neutralizing the key masterminds, planners, and executors.
