Pakistan Society of North Texas Hosts ‘Day of Gratitude’ in Dallas to Celebrate Pakistan’s Victory

Dallas: The representative organization of the Pakistani community, Pakistan Society of North Texas (PSNT), organized a dignified event in Dallas titled “Day of Gratitude”, in which a large number of community members participated.
The chief guest of the event was the Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Aftab Chaudhry.
The purpose of this event was to express gratitude for the integrity, sovereignty, and recent successes of our beloved homeland, and to further strengthen the spirit of patriotism within the community.
Consul General Aftab Chaudhry, in his speech, shed light on the serious matters such as Indian atrocities in Kashmir, violations of the Indus Waters Treaty, and the presence of 900,000 Indian troops. He said: “We believe in peace, but our Pakistan Army stands like a strong wall in defense of the Pakistani nation against any foreign aggression.” He stated: “We are from Pakistan, and even if our generations spend two hundred years here, their identity will still remain tied to Pakistan.”
While addressing the event, President of Pakistan Society, Attorney Naim Sakhia, said that Pakistan Society is the representative organization of long-established Pakistanis residing in Dallas, which plays an active role in the welfare of local Pakistanis.
He also emphasized that the Society wants Pakistani-American youth to join this mission, and contribute to the community’s progress with new ideas, creative thinking, and modern perspectives.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Dr. Riaz Haider, said that Pakistan’s victory has elevated the country’s reputation around the world.
Senior board member and former president Abid Malik said in his speech that India made an evil attempt to wage war, but was pushed back within just one hour.
He said that this success not only made the nation proud, but also made overseas Pakistanis feel proud, and they wholeheartedly pay tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces.
On this occasion, Salman Raza, the Trade and Investment Attaché at the Pakistan Consulate, announced that a special exhibition would soon be held in Dallas to promote Pakistani products, so that local Pakistani entrepreneurs and companies could be provided with growth opportunities.
He also stated that if any Pakistani needs business-related information or assistance in Pakistan, the consulate is fully prepared to provide support.
The new executive committee was also introduced during the event, which includes:
President: Naim Sakhia, Senior Vice President: Abid Baig , Vice President: Ashraf Moton, Secretary General: Ameen Jiwani, Joint Secretary: Nazia Khan, Treasurer: Mushtaq Ali, Joint Treasurer: Jia Ahmed, Information Secretary: Shazia Khan
The Board of Trustees includes: Chairman: Dr. Riaz Haider, Members: Barkat Ali Basaria, Amir Ali Rupani, Abid Malik, Salman Tabani (former president) (Hafeez Khan, Shahrukh Siddiqi, and Muhammad Yunus were not present due to other commitments.) The program was moderated by Kiran Hayat.
At the end of the event, national songs were presented, to which the audience swayed with emotion, and the atmosphere echoed with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan).
This grand event proved that overseas Pakistanis are not only deeply connected to their homeland, but also act as its true ambassadors in every field.
This “Day of Gratitude” was not just a ceremony, but a living proof of patriotism, unity, and solidarity whose echo resonated beyond borders across the world.
