In the aftermath of recent US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, Pakistani authorities have issued a warning about a coordinated social media campaign of misinformation and propaganda designed to discredit Pakistan. According to government sources, claims circulating that US B-2 stealth bombers utilized Pakistani airspace for these attacks are entirely unfounded.
“Our radars and air defense systems confirm that no US aircraft, including B-2 bombers, entered or overflew Pakistan’s airspace,” stated an official from the Ministry of Defence. Officials further accused elements hostile to Pakistan of fabricating and disseminating these false narratives to create public confusion and undermine Pakistan’s international standing. The source added, “Such fabricated claims are part of a traditional propaganda playbook employed by groups inimical to Pakistan.”
The government has urged citizens to rely solely on verified information from official channels and to report any suspicious posts or accounts propagating fake news. Authorities are closely monitoring social platforms and have vowed to take action against those identified as orchestrators of this disinformation campaign.
Meanwhile, according to defense sources and a recently unveiled simulation, U.S. B-2 Spirit stealth bombers, departing from Guam, routed their mission to Iran via Indian airspace. The visualized flight path details the bombers’ journey:
- Guam (): The mission’s departure point in the western Pacific.
- Andaman Sea (): The initial westward leg across Southeast Asian waters.
- Central India (): Overflight of India’s interior.
- Arabian Sea near Iran’s border (): The final approach to the Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan nuclear facilities.
This flight path data confirms that the bombers did not enter Pakistani airspace, instead relying on clearance over India to complete the approximately 9,000-mile round trip. New Delhi has neither confirmed nor denied granting overflight rights, but analysts suggest that India’s cooperation would have been critical for the mission’s success. The strike signifies a significant escalation in U.S. actions against Iran’s nuclear program, prompting urgent diplomatic exchanges in capitals across the region.
