Pakistan has decided to recall some of its diplomatic staff and their families from Iran, according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials on Tuesday.
This decision comes amid the ongoing conflict between Iran and Israel, which has raised concerns over the safety of diplomatic missions in the region. Sources within the ministry confirmed that this measure is precautionary and involves the return of non-essential staff and family members of some diplomats currently stationed in Iran.
Despite this partial withdrawal, officials have affirmed that Pakistan’s diplomatic presence in Iran will continue without interruption. A senior official stated, “Our embassy in Tehran and consulates in other cities will remain operational.” They added, “Only those whose presence is not immediately required have been asked to return.”
