Pakistan Peoples Party USA Names Amir Makhani as Central Vice President

The Pakistan Peoples Party USA has announced a key organizational appointment, naming Amir Makhani as the party’s Central Vice President in an effort to further strengthen its structure and outreach. According to an official notification, the appointment takes effect immediately.
The notification was issued by Muhammad Khalid Awan, President of the Pakistan Peoples Party USA, who expressed confidence that Mr. Makhani would carry out his responsibilities with dedication and play an effective role in reinforcing the party, its leadership, and its organizational presence in the United States.

The notification bears the signatures of Malik Muhammad Ali Awan, General Secretary of PPP USA, and Dr Uzma Gul, Deputy General Secretary. Copies of the appointment have also been forwarded for information and record to the Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party’s Secretary General, Zardari House in Islamabad, and the PPP Overseas Coordination Committee.
Officials of the Pakistan Peoples Party USA and the state of Texas welcomed Mr. Makhani’s appointment, describing it as a positive development for the party. They noted that Amir Makhani is already widely known for his sustained social work in Pakistan, particularly in underprivileged areas of Karachi, where he has spent the past five years working to improve the quality of life for women and promote their economic independence.
According to party leaders, through skills training and vocational education programs run under the Makhani Welfare initiative, more than ten thousand women have been enabled to stand on their own feet. They emphasized that these efforts have so far been funded entirely from Mr. Makhani’s personal resources. Party officials said that the inclusion of committed, capable, and service oriented individuals in key party positions would further strengthen the Pakistan Peoples Party’s vision, positive thinking, and commitment to public service.
