Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the US, stated that Pakistan presents unique investment opportunities in the sectors of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and technology. The Ambassador made these remarks during a visit to the US state of Connecticut, where he met with leaders of the Pakistani-American community.
Ambassador Sheikh briefed community leaders on the positive developments in Pakistan-US relations, emphasizing the shared commitment to boosting economic cooperation. He underscored the crucial role the Pakistani diaspora plays in fostering stronger economic ties and encouraged them to motivate American investors to capitalize on Pakistan’s mineral wealth, energy resources, and burgeoning AI industry.
Assessing the national economy, he asserted that Pakistan’s economy is moving in a positive direction, citing the improved ratings by international rating agencies as a testament to confidence in the government’s economic policies.
On geopolitical matters, the Ambassador stressed that Pakistan’s foremost priority remains peace and regional stability, highlighting the nation’s unparalleled sacrifices for global peace. He issued a firm statement on security, emphasizing that no entity will be allowed to use foreign soil to endanger the lives of its citizens. He concluded by expressing gratitude for President Trump’s personal interest and decisive role in de-escalating Pakistan-India tensions in May.
