Pakistan Navy ships have arrived at Oman’s Sultan Qaboos Port. According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the PN’s ships, Ruh Noor, Madadgar, and PMSA Kashmir, have reached the port. The Omani authorities have warmly welcomed the Pakistan Navy ships, with mission commander and commanding officers meeting with the Royal Navy of Oman’s leadership. The mission commander met with the Acting Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and the Commander of the Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy. The Director General Operations and Planning of the Royal Navy of Oman met with the Pakistan Navy delegation. A joint exercise was conducted by the Pakistan Navy and PMSA ships. According to the ISPR, the exercise aimed to enhance interoperability and professionalism between the two navies.
Pakistan and Oman share a maritime border, and joint exercises are a regular occurrence. The visit is expected to strengthen defense cooperation between the two navies. The ISPR stated that the two sides agreed to continue bilateral cooperation for maritime peace and security in the region.
