Pakistan’s military is gearing up for Multi-Domain Operations, a strategic shift that involves synchronizing air, ground, and cyber operations to counter threats effectively. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department has released a video highlighting the importance of this approach, which includes the use of electronic warfare, drones, and devastating bombardments to disrupt enemy communications and decision-making processes.
In a statement, the ISPR said that Multi-Domain Operations represent the best example of joint warfare, where air and ground forces work together to overwhelm enemy defenses. The military’s exercises showcase its proficiency in modern technology, destructive firepower, and precise targeting capabilities, which are hallmarks of Multi-Domain Operations.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed solidarity with the families of those who lost their lives in recent incidents, including the devastating fire in Karachi’s Empress Market, which has left several people dead and injured. The Sindh government has ordered an investigation into the fire safety measures in place at the market, and the police have launched a crackdown on those responsible for the tragedy.
In another incident, a woman in Khushab’s Joora Kalaan area shot and killed her younger sister in a dispute over a romantic relationship. The police have arrested the suspect and launched an investigation into the incident.
Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has announced that his government will take strict action against those responsible for the fire in Empress Market, which has caused extensive damage to the building and its surroundings. The National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has confirmed that a crackdown is underway against a militant group, and several arrests have been made in connection with the case.
In a separate incident, the nephew of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Mian Javed Safdar, married his fiancée in a private ceremony in Lahore. The couple’s wedding reception is scheduled to take place on Sunday at Amara Farah House in Raiwind.
