The Pakistan hockey team will compete in a pre-World Cup qualifying series against Bangladesh. According to sources within the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF), the schedule for the series will be announced soon. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) has approved the series, sources confirmed.
The winning team will advance to the main World Cup qualifying round. Pakistan was excluded from direct entry into the World Cup qualifiers after failing to participate in the Asia Cup. Sources say that following a request from the PHF, the FIH brought the matter before its Executive Board for a decision.
