Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, has expressed his reaction to a controversial discussion on the existence of God featuring Indian author Javed Akhtar and Mufti Shamail Naqvi. The Minister shared a video clip of the discussion on a social media platform, in which he stated that those in power in liberal, Hindu-dominated India are trying to justify their existence. Asif further added that people in India are not even willing to pay rent to such self-proclaimed liberals.
The video clip shared by Asif showed a debate held in India, where a Muslim cleric questioned the existence of God in front of Indian lyricist Javed Akhtar, which went viral on social media. According to a spokesperson for the Pakistan Army, the temporary relocation of flights is a routine security measure.
