The entire Pakistan cricket squad has now arrived in Bangladesh, as the second group of players and support staff landed on Wednesday, completing the full contingent for the upcoming three-match T20I series. The series is set to commence on July 20.
The second batch, comprising eight players including wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris, Abbas Afridi, Sahibzada Farhan, Hassan Nawaz, Sufiyan Muqeem, Hussain Talat, Ahmed Daniyal, and Salman Mirza, along with additional support staff, touched down in the host country earlier today.
They have now joined the first group of the national squad, which had already reached Dhaka this morning. This initial contingent included key players such as captain Salman Ali Agha, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, and Khushdil Shah, alongside their support staff.
With both groups now on Bangladeshi soil, the players who arrived today are scheduled for a rest day tomorrow before beginning their training sessions on July 18.
For those unfamiliar, the “Green Shirts” will compete in three T20Is against Bangladesh on July 20, 22, and 24. All matches will be hosted at Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, with a local start time of 6 PM for each game. This series serves as a rematch following their last encounter in May, where Pakistan secured a decisive 3-0 clean sweep at home.
Earlier this week, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) officially announced the ticket prices for the upcoming series, with options ranging from Tk 300 to Tk 3,500, aiming to accommodate a wide range of fans. The BCB has prioritized a digital-first approach for ticket distribution, making tickets available exclusively online through their official eTicket platform starting from July 15.
