LAHORE: A four-member Pakistan team left for Bangkok on Sunday to participate in the Asian Athletics Championship scheduled to be held there from July 12-16.
Shajar Abbas will compete in 100m and 200m races, Abdul Moeed will run in 200m and 400m while Mohammad Yasir will take part in the javelin throw competition.
Esha Imran, who won women’s 100m gold medal for Wapda at the last National Games held in Quetta, will test her skills in 200m and 400m.
Arshad Nadeem, Pakistan’s top javelin thrower, is not part of the Bangkok-bound national team as he is unfit.
