Pakistan has sent a letter to India demanding an explanation over the unprecedented decrease in the water level of the River Chenab. According to the Ministry of Water Resources, Pakistan’s Commissioner for Indus Basin wrote a letter to India regarding the decrease in water level. The letter maintained that, as per the Indus Basin Treaty, it is prohibited to empty the dead storage.
