Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have reached an understanding to maintain close coordination and persist in their joint efforts to advance shared objectives of regional peace and prosperity.
This agreement was forged during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and the President of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, held in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
The discussions underscored the profound and fraternal ties between Pakistan and the UAE, which are built upon mutual trust, shared values, and a history of robust cooperation.
The two leaders engaged in conversations covering a broad spectrum of bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their dedication to further enhancing collaboration in critical sectors.
The Prime Minister conveyed his sincere appreciation to the leadership of the UAE for its constructive role in contributing to the de-escalation of tensions between Pakistan and India.
He acknowledged the UAE’s positive contribution to fostering peace, dialogue, and stability within the region.
Both parties expressed satisfaction with the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and the ongoing engagements across all levels.
The Prime Minister reiterated his earlier invitation to the President of UAE for a visit to Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi, Minister for Information & Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Syed Tariq Fatemi were also in attendance at the meeting.
