The Pakistan national cricket team is set to face New Zealand tomorrow (Wednesday) in the final T20I of the series at the Wellington Regional Stadium.
According to reports, changes are expected in the playing XI. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shadab Khan are likely to be rested for the final T20I.
Furthermore, more peripheral players are expected to be given an opportunity in the last T20I against the Black Caps, ahead of the ODI series.
Expressing his views, Pakistan’s assistant coach Azhar Mahmood stated, “The team retains a fighting spirit despite the defeat in the previous T20I.”
“We will need to adapt to the conditions in the final T20I,” he said.
Mahmood acknowledged, “Individual performances are emerging, but the team’s overall performance as a unit is not up to par.”
