Pakistan Condemns Israeli Attack on Qatar
In a separate matter, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar condemned the Israeli attack on Qatar, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stated that the assault was an illegal and provocative act fueling dangerous tensions in the region.
Dar remarked that Israeli atrocities in Palestine had already destabilized the region, and the latest attack posed a serious threat to regional peace and security.
He added that the strikes also contravened international laws and universally accepted global norms. He mentioned that Pakistan, along with Algeria and Somalia, had requested an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
He also noted that Pakistan had called for an urgent debate at the UN Human Rights Council and welcomed the decision to convene an extraordinary Arab-Islamic summit.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the leadership, government, and people of Qatar, Dar urged the international community to strongly condemn Israel and take effective action against it.
