Talks between the delegations of Pakistan and Afghanistan have officially started in Doha, the capital of Qatar. The discussions aim to address key regional security concerns and improve mutual cooperation between the two neighboring countries.

The talks are being hosted by Qatar’s Intelligence Chief, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi. His role as mediator highlights Qatar’s efforts to support peace and dialogue between the two nations.
Leadership of Both Delegations
According to diplomatic sources, Pakistan’s delegation is led by Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, while Afghanistan’s team is headed by Defense Minister Mullah Yaqoob. Senior Pakistani security officials are also accompanying Khawaja Asif to provide support during the meeting.
Main Agenda: Border Security and Terrorism
Diplomatic officials have revealed that Pakistan’s main focus in the discussions is on cross-border infiltration by terrorist groups operating from Afghan territory. The goal is to strengthen border security and ensure regional stability through mutual understanding and cooperation.
Afghan Intelligence Chief Also in Attendance
Sources have confirmed that the Afghan Intelligence Chief is also part of the Afghan delegation, showing the seriousness of the discussions and the high-level nature of the meeting.
