In 2025, overseas Pakistanis remitted around $40 billion to the country.
Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain stated that the government aims to increase the overseas workforce to 800,000 by 2026. This announcement comes as the government continues to explore opportunities for Pakistanis to work abroad, with a focus on the Gulf region.
