Despite a private plane’s landing gear collapsing, Hobby Airport operations remain unaffected Thursday afternoon.
According to the Houston Airport System, a runway was temporarily closed as the Houston Fire Department and other crews responded to the scene.
Officials clarified that the plane came to a stop within the designated “safety area” of the runway.
As of now, the number of individuals onboard and any injuries sustained have not been disclosed.
SkyEye footage captured the twin-propeller engine aircraft resting where the runway meets a grassy field, with its rear door visibly open.
