Liam and Noel Gallagher are once again capturing hearts with their music, and their support act is giving fans a glimpse into the tour’s dynamic. John Power, the frontman for the band Cast, which is opening for Oasis on their massive world tour, recently spoke about what it’s like to warm up the crowd before the Gallagher brothers take the stage.
Cast has been the opening act for the Oasis Live 25′ tour since July, playing before Richard Ashcroft at gigs in Cardiff, Manchester, and London. The tour is set to head to Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh next week.
In an interview with Vulture, John Power shared his observations on Liam and Noel’s relationship during the tour, noting that he’s seen a “positive energy” between the two siblings. “They both genuinely… well, of course, they want to be there, but you can feel the positive energy. It’s all going hunky-dory,” he said.
Power also praised lead singer Liam, who has previously struggled with vocal issues, for keeping his voice in “top form.” “He’s very, very focused at the moment. I know that this tour means a hell of a lot, if not the world, to him,” Power said of the “Wonderwall” talent. “He’s doing everything to make sure that he can go on. The worst thing is if you’re tired, because your voice gets knackered and a bit strained.” He concluded by saying, “Whatever he’s doing, he’s doing the right things because his voice sounds absolutely wonderful.”
