Washington/Seoul: Despite the ongoing missile testing campaign by North Korea, the US military has clarified that the latest launch does not pose any immediate threat to the United States or its key allies. The statement comes amidst persistent military tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
According to foreign media reports, the United States Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) confirmed that North Korea’s recent missile test does not present an immediate danger to American personnel, the region, or the security of allied nations.
The US military acknowledged that the ballistic missile launch highlights North Korea’s destabilizing actions. Concurrently, they assured that the US remains fully prepared to defend itself and its allies in the region. US military officials added that they are fully aware of the missile test and are currently engaged in consultations with allies and partners regarding the situation.
Meanwhile, North Korea maintains a hardline stance; Pyongyang has declared its readiness to undertake “offensive actions” against external threats and is committed to providing an appropriate response to any new sanctions imposed by the United States.
