Iran has issued a clear and firm policy statement regarding its nuclear program and any potential negotiations with the United States, rejecting any form of external pressure.
According to international news agencies, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that Iran has “no interest” in direct negotiations with the US, although it remains open to indirect talks.
“We are ready for a fair agreement,” Araghchi said, “but the conditions presented by the US are unacceptable and impossible.”
He unequivocally declared that Iran will not accept any restrictions on its nuclear or missile programs. Emphasizing his nation’s right to defense, he stated, “No sane country abolishes its defense capability.”
The Foreign Minister added, “What is not possible through war cannot be achieved through politics either.”
He clarified that while Iran is prepared to address the concerns of its adversaries regarding its nuclear program, it “will not stop uranium enrichment.” Referring to the alleged attacks by Israel and the US in June, he claimed that the nuclear material in the facilities was not destroyed and that Iran’s technology remains intact. He concluded with a warning, stating that Iran is “ready to respond to any aggressive action by Israel.”
