Nicolas Cage has shared surprising claims following Sarah Jessica Parker’s confirmation that she dated the actor more than three decades ago. For those unfamiliar, Parker and Cage starred as a couple in the 1992 rom-com Honeymoon in Vegas and also briefly dated in 1991 while filming the movie.
After over three decades, during a recent discussion on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday, July 13, the 60-year-old actress confessed to having a fling with Cage. Confirming years of speculation, Parker simply stated, “Um, yes I did,” when Andy Cohen inquired about the rumors.
Now, Cage has alleged that Parker ended their connection without any explanation after he met her mother. “I cared about Sarah, but I don’t think I passed the Mom test,” he told E! News. He recounted, “I recall sitting down with her and her mother for dinner at the Russian Tea Room, and I don’t know if it was my blue Vanson Leather motorcycle jacket (which I still have) or my sinusitis, but I didn’t hear from her again.”
Cage is currently married to his wife Riko Shibata, while Parker met the love of her life, Matthew Broderick, after her brief relationship with Cage.
