Nicki Minaj is facing a $5 million defamation lawsuit from Tameer Peak, a dedicated fan of 15 years. According to the Daily Mail, Peak, 28, filed the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, accusing the rapper of causing “reputational harm, emotional distress, and financial loss.”
The dispute dates back to 2017 when the 41-year-old Minaj allegedly labeled Peak as “a paid mole sent to sabotage her.” In a December 6 TikTok video, Peak approached Minaj while she was sitting in a car, only to be confronted by the rapper on Instagram Live.
Minaj, whose real name is Onika Maraj, asked, “What’s the problem? Say what you got to say. You on candid camera, boo.” Peak responded, “I be talking s*** because I love you, and I try to keep it real with you.” Minaj retorted, “If you love me? Respect me. You better r-e-s-p-e-c-t!”
In the lawsuit, Peak also claims that Minaj “invited” him to her hotel during this incident and “embarrassed him in front of 100K viewers.”
