New Zealand Cricket (NZC) has appointed Tom Latham as captain for the upcoming One Day International (ODI) series against Pakistan, scheduled to begin on March 29th.
The 13-member squad announcement also includes Pakistani-origin fast bowler Mohammad Abbas.
Several key players, including Mitchell Santner, Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, and Glenn Phillips, will miss the series due to their commitments in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Squad Composition
New Zealand’s squad features a blend of experienced and emerging players. Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Nathan Smith, and Will Young have been included, alongside Jacob Duffy, Nick Kelly, Daryl Mitchell, and Ben Sears.
The first match of the three-match ODI series is scheduled to take place on March 29th. Pakistan is also expected to field a strong squad.
