The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted a new rain spell starting across various parts of the country from tomorrow (Monday).
Affected Areas and Expected Weather
- A system of westerly winds will bring hailstorms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.
- Snowfall is expected in northern areas, while Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) will receive rain.
- Islamabad and Rawalpindi recently experienced heavy rainfall after nearly four months, bringing relief amid an escalating water crisis.
- Several cities in Punjab and KP, including Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Hafizabad, also received light to heavy showers.
Upcoming Weather Conditions
- Monday: Cloudy weather with rain and snow is expected in northeast and western Balochistan, parts of KP, GB, and AJK.
- Tuesday: Rain is likely in Murree and Galliyat, accompanied by windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms in northeast Punjab.
- The PMD has warned of flash floods in vulnerable areas of upper KP and AJK, advising tourists to avoid unnecessary travel.
