Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousuf urged the government on Tuesday to create a separate province for Hazara. In an interview with Samaa TV, Sardar Yousuf stated that the establishment of new provinces is a pressing necessity.
He stressed that forming additional administrative units would allow for more effective governance and help address the problems faced by local populations. The federal minister also highlighted that the creation of new provinces had been a part of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) election manifesto.
Opposition Resignations and Parliamentary Duties
Sardar Yousuf also commented on the recent resignations of opposition members from parliamentary standing committees. He warned that such actions could politically harm the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The federal minister suggested that, instead of resigning, opposition lawmakers should continue to fulfill their parliamentary duties to ensure proper legislative oversight and accountability.
