National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq met Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Sunday, expressing gratitude to Riyadh for its continuous support to Pakistan during “challenging periods.”
The Saudi Crown Prince hosted a luncheon in honor of Muslim leaders visiting Saudi Arabia for Hajj, an event also attended by NA Speaker Sadiq and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori.
During the gathering, the Crown Prince affirmed his dedication to addressing the difficulties confronting the Muslim world.
In his interaction with the Crown Prince, Sadiq emphasized that Saudi Arabia has consistently stood by Pakistan through tough times. He further conveyed appreciation for the Saudi leadership’s unequivocal stance on matters concerning Pakistan.
He also highlighted the profound respect the Pakistani nation holds for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The NA Speaker conveyed his hope for further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two brotherly nations.
Sindh Governor Thanks Saudi Crown Prince for Royal Hajj Invitation
“I am profoundly thankful to the Saudi leadership, particularly the Crown Prince, for extending a royal invitation to me for the sacred journey of Hajj,” Governor Tessori stated in an X post.
He commended the exceptional arrangements made for pilgrims and the dedicated services provided to the Muslim Ummah. Tessori also mentioned that he extended an invitation for the Saudi Crown Prince to visit Pakistan.
High-Level Meetings Follow Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Army Chief’s Recent Saudi Visit
This event took place two days after Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s visit to the Kingdom.
The Crown Prince personally welcomed Prime Minister Shehbaz, who was on a two-day visit, and even chauffeured him to the royal lunch hosted in his honor at the Royal Court.
The lavish reception of the Prime Minister by the Saudi Crown Prince and his attendance at the luncheon as a special guest underscore the enduring fraternal relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as Islamabad’s diplomatic achievements under Prime Minister Shehbaz’s leadership.
