Pakistan’s national airline faced significant operational disruptions today after aircraft engineers staged a protest, leading to severe delays for several international flights and causing distress for passengers.
Flights departing from Karachi, Islamabad, and Peshawar were heavily impacted by the protest. The most significant delay was reported for flight PK 761 from Karachi to Jeddah, which departed after a staggering 10-hour delay.
Additionally, two flights from Islamabad—PK 245 to Dammam and PK 741 to Jeddah—both faced delays of 6 hours. A flight from Peshawar to Dubai, PK 283, was also delayed by one hour.
A spokesperson for the national airline stated that “alternative means” are being used to maintain flight operations. The spokesperson also issued a firm warning, asserting that “no group will be allowed to disrupt the operation.”
