Pakistan’s MQM International has called for the reversal of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) tax imposed on the country’s businesses. In a statement, senior MQM leaders referred to the CSR tax as a “government levy” and demanded its immediate reversal. This comes as Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary Information Sheikh Waqas Akram’s alleged audio message has leaked, leading to his removal from the remaining two matches against Australia in the ongoing series. Meanwhile, the French Embassy in Pakistan has congratulated Ali Akbar, a Pakistani vendor who has been awarded for his services to the French community.
The former owner of the Multan Sultans, a team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Ali Tareen, has been embroiled in another controversy. In 2003, Vicky Oberoi accused Shilpa Shetty of threatening Salman Khan in a high-profile case. Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Barrister Gohar has responded to the leaked audio message of Sheikh Waqas Akram.
