HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A disturbance popped up some showers and storms this afternoon and evening. Storms could continue into the evening but should weaken once the sun goes down.
Overnight, you can expect partly cloudy skies and temps in the 70s. Sunday will bring partly cloudy skies and temps in the low 90s. An isolated storm or two will be possible but chances look low. If a storm pops, we could see gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rain.
How hot will it get next week?
Hot enough to challenge records by Wednesday. Temps will soar to the middle and upper 90s next week. And the humidity will be high so a Heat Advisory at some point is a possibility.
