The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly considering former national captain Misbah-ul-Haq for a significant new administrative role within the organization.
According to sources, Misbah is a strong candidate for the position of “Director Cricket Operations International.” This development follows a job advertisement posted by the PCB for this specific role just a few days ago.
What makes this potential appointment noteworthy is a significant change in the job’s eligibility criteria. Sources report that for the first time, the PCB advertisement required applicants to be a former Test or ODI International cricketer—a condition that Misbah-ul-Haq clearly meets.
The position of Director of Cricket Operations International became vacant after the PCB suspended the previous director, Usman Wahla, during a controversy related to a Pak-India dispute.
