Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi stated on Sunday that Pakistan has video evidence of six downed Indian aircraft, and that the country had advanced knowledge of India’s war plans and strategies during the recent conflict. Naqvi made these claims at a seminar in Lahore titled “Global Impacts of Pakistan’s Military and Diplomatic Victories over India,” organized by the Professor Waris Mir Foundation.
Naqvi, who said he was a direct eyewitness to many events, paid tribute to the officers and soldiers of the Pakistan Army, Air Force, and Navy. He especially highlighted the pivotal and unforgettable role of Pakistan’s intelligence agencies, whom he called “silent warriors,” in securing the victory. He asserted that Pakistani agencies had advanced access to every move, from India’s war planning to their aircraft taking off.
The minister claimed that within minutes of the engagement, Pakistan had video evidence of six downed Indian aircraft, which he said was a testament to the intelligence community’s capabilities. He also spoke of what he described as “divine help,” noting that India’s seven missiles fired at a major Pakistani base all missed their targets. In contrast, he said, Pakistani missiles launched at Indian military installations successfully destroyed India’s largest oil storage depot.
Naqvi lauded the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, stating he led with “great courage and bravery.” He recounted an anecdote where the Field Marshal compared India to a “shining Mercedes” and Pakistan to a “dumper truck loaded with stones,” hinting at the disastrous outcome of a collision.
According to Naqvi, Pakistan’s historic achievement was the first-ever joint war strategy by its army, air force, and navy under a single unified plan. He contrasted this with the Indian military chiefs, who he said were divided and met separately with their Prime Minister. Naqvi identified Ajit Doval and Amit Shah as the “real architects” of India’s war strategy, asserting that they will bring “destruction to India as well as to Modi in the coming times.”
The minister also praised the political unity in Pakistan during the crisis, noting that all parties stood firmly behind the armed forces. He claimed that while India’s diplomatic efforts in the US failed, Pakistan’s diplomatic front, led by the PPP Chairman, outperformed them. Naqvi further accused India of sponsoring terrorism in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, and stated that both the Prime Minister and the Field Marshal deserved credit for resisting international pressure to not retaliate.
