Sources indicate that Meghan Markle is apparently not ready to go back to the UK, despite Prince Harry’s ongoing attempts to mend relationships with the royal family.
Following the Duke of Sussex’s revealing BBC interview, where he expressed his desire for reconciliation with his father King Charles, insiders have shared some surprising details with Closer Magazine.
A source stated, “Harry is keen to repair relations with his family, but that’s the last thing on Meghan’s mind at the moment.”
“Although Harry doesn’t want to permanently move back to the UK, he has been pushing for a home there that he can visit regularly,” they added.
While Prince Harry recently lost his legal battle concerning his security appeal, sources suggest that “even if the Sussexes’ security team is made up of elite special forces, Meghan will find an excuse to avoid coming to the UK.”
“Harry is doing everything he can to try to protect his family, but Meghan is unconvinced. Security is, of course, a factor, but she doesn’t feel welcomed by the British people or the royal family, so that has a large part to play,” the insider stated.
It is important to note that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the UK in 2020 after stepping down from their roles as working royals. Since then, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been residing in California with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
