Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, are the founders of LuckyChap, their production company based in Los Angeles. The celebrated actress revealed to Architectural Digest that their aim for the office space was to cultivate a “familial” atmosphere.
The office decor subtly incorporates nods to the films the company has produced, including I, Tonya and Barbie. Tom shared, “These are the exact chairs from the Mattel boardroom scene with Will Ferrell.”
Meanwhile, the Grammy-nominated actress stated that the rooftop is her preferred working spot. “I’m not very good at staying inside. So if I’m reading scripts or having lunch or even doing meetings, I go up to the terrace.”
In related news, Margot Robbie has reportedly signed on for her latest film, A Big Bold Beautiful Journey. This will mark her first role since 2023’s Barbie. She is set to co-star with Colin Farrell in the film, which, according to its logline, follows two strangers, Sarah (Robbie) and David (Farrell), who encounter each other at a wedding and embark on a surreal, emotionally charged journey through each other’s pasts after a GPS device unexpectedly intertwines their lives.
Beyond the two leads, the cast includes Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Billy Magnussen, Lily Rabe, and Hamish Linklater. Yang Kogonada directed the film, with Seth Reiss penning the script. Margot Robbie’s A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is scheduled for theatrical release on September 19.
